About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to drive underground operational performance through data‑driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Manager – Operations, this role works closely with the Operations, Technical Services and Maintenance teams to optimise production, cost and safety outcomes.

This is a highly influential role, combining strong underground operational understanding with strategic engineering input.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and report on mining KPIs, costs and physicals against budget and mine plan
  • Forecast operational and cost performance using historical data, trends and planning models
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimise mining methods and productivity
  • Provide operational input into mine design, ground support and execution strategies
  • Conduct operational audits and lead improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with Maintenance to optimise equipment utilisation
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and operational support to site teams
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site standards and safety systems
  • Fulfil duties as Appointed Explosives Officer and ensure legislative compliance

About You

  • First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate or WA Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving capability
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across operational and technical teams
  • Experience in mine planning, UG shift management or senior engineering roles
  • DG Security Card, National Police Clearance & C Class Driver’s Licence
